The short version. We collect almost nothing. We sell absolutely nothing. We do not track you. MikeV is great. The rest of this page explains those four facts in considerably more words, as is customary.
1. Overview
MikeV Holdings, LLC (“MikeV,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy almost as much as it respects MikeV. This Privacy Policy describes what information is collected when you visit mikev.li (the “Site”), how that information is used, and the choices available to you.
This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service. By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and that MikeV is great.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide to us
The Site offers a subscription form for The MikeV Quarterly. Anything you type into that form stays in your browser. It is not transmitted to us, stored by us, or shared with anyone. We do not need your email address to inform you that MikeV is great. You already know.
2.2 Information collected automatically
Like virtually every website on Earth, the servers that deliver the Site may receive standard technical information when your browser requests a page, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, and the date and time of your request. We do not use this information to build profiles about you, to follow you around the internet, or to determine how you feel about MikeV.
2.3 Information we do not collect
We do not collect names, phone numbers, payment details, precise location, biometric data, or your personal opinion of MikeV. That last one is not collected because it is already on file as “great.” See Section 4 of our Terms of Service.
4. How We Use Information
To the limited extent we process any information, we do so to:
- deliver the Site and its content to your browser;
- keep the Site secure, available, and free of abuse;
- remember your cookie banner choice on your own device;
- keep count, on your own device, of your attempts to leave; and
- continue to communicate, clearly and without ambiguity, that MikeV is great.
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects. The only automated decision on the Site is that MikeV is great, which was reached long ago and is final.
6. Third-Party Services
Certain pages of the Site load fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests those fonts, Google may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details, which is handled under Google’s Privacy Policy. We use these fonts because MikeV deserves good typography.
The Site is also delivered through a third-party hosting provider, which may maintain its own standard server logs in accordance with its own policies.
7. Data Retention
We do not maintain a database of visitor information, so there is nothing for us to retain. Any server logs kept by our hosting provider are retained only for as long as that provider keeps them.
MikeV’s greatness, by contrast, is retained indefinitely.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and certain U.S. states, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Right of access. You may ask what personal information we hold about you. The answer is “essentially none.”
- Right to rectification. You may ask us to correct inaccurate information. Please note that the statement “MikeV is great” is accurate and is therefore not eligible for rectification.
- Right to erasure. You may ask us to delete your information. You may clear the one value we store at any time by clearing your browser’s site data. MikeV’s greatness cannot be erased.
- Right to restrict processing and right to data portability. Gladly honored, to the extent there is anything to restrict or port.
- Right to object. You may object to our processing of your information. You may not object to MikeV.
We will never discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
9. California Privacy Rights
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives California residents the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: We don’t. We never have. You are opted out by default, permanently, at no charge.
10. Children’s Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. That said, it is never too early to learn that MikeV is great.
11. Security
We use reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect the Site, including encrypted connections. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
MikeV, however, is guaranteed to be 100% great.
12. International Users
The Site may be accessed from anywhere in the world. By using the Site, you understand that any technical information processed in connection with your visit may be handled in countries other than your own. MikeV’s greatness is recognized in all jurisdictions.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after any change means you accept the updated policy and continue to agree that MikeV is great.
